Building a bigger boatThere is a great moment in the film Jaws in which the character Roy Scheider sees the shark for the first time and tells the captain "We're going to need a bigger boat." Left.org is for American patriots in the nation's political opposition who have seen the shark and come to the realization that we need a bigger boat. The Republican one-party state deserves the most aggressive and muscular opposition we can muster. We did not object with sufficient strength to the unlawful techniques they used to keep people from voting in Florida in 2000. Since there were no investigations, indictments or convictions for those crimes against democracy we got highly suspicious results in Georgia in 2002, when a private company with very strong political leanings essentially operated the state's electoral machinery and produce a result not consistent with the exit polls. When we could not stop that we got even more reprehensible steps to undermine competitive elections in Florida, Ohio, Nevada and New Mexico in 2004. We are not willing to be victims of vote fraud any longer. We will fight back with lawsuits, books, articles, newsletters, videos, radio programs, boycotts, petitions, speeches, rallies, marches and every tool of mobilization at our disposal until we expose the techniques used by Bush to secure reinauguration and make American elections honest again. Will you help us build a bigger boat and go out and get that shark? |
